Why does the newborn baby cry when it is born?

      

            During the birth of a baby,the baby cries out loud for the first time because the baby’s lungs stretch out and dilate to fill up with air.  This is painful ,so the baby cries out. Inside the mother’s uterus,the baby has survived in a liquid environment and had no contact with air.
